While planning their wedding, this couple discovered that some very important guests couldn't attend — but their true reasons for missing the wedding were jaw-dropping. 

For most of us, if our parents couldn't make it to our wedding, we'd be devastated. Any big milestone, like birthdays, bridal showers, baby showers, or even just family gatherings, just wouldn't be the same if we didn't have our closest family members celebrating with us. When we imagine our marriages, most of us want our moms and dads to walk us down the aisle, have a dance together, or have a special table set aside just for them. 

Of course, that's assuming you have a good relationship with your parents, and a lot of folks absolutely do not. I really feel for this woman and her "boy mom" mother, because their relationship seems completely vile. 

As this woman shares, for almost no reason, when her little brother was born, her mom shifted all of her love and attention onto her newborn son. This has not changed in the 20ish years since! The brother, who's now 21, is still basking in mommy's love, and all the while, this woman can barely keep her relationship with her mother and father afloat. They seem to give all of their attention to their son, while their daughter is just an afterthought.
